Psychodynamic therapy · [Town/City] & online
A quiet space to understand yourself
I'm Anthea Benjamin, a psychodynamic therapist working with adults in [Town/City] and online. I offer a steady, unhurried space where we can explore together what might be going on beneath the surface of things.

Welcome
Perhaps something doesn't feel quite right, and you can't put your finger on why. Perhaps you know exactly what brings you here, and you've been carrying it for a long time. Either way, you are welcome.
Therapy with me is a conversation — but a particular kind of conversation. One where you don't have to perform, reassure anyone, or have the right words. We go at your pace, and we pay attention to the things that are easy to miss.
Who I work with
Whatever brings you, bring it
I work with adults facing a wide range of difficulties. You don't need a diagnosis, or even the right words, to begin.
Anxiety & worry
A mind that won't settle, a body always braced for something.
02Low mood & depression
Flatness, heaviness, or a sense of going through the motions.
03Relationships
Patterns that repeat, closeness that feels hard, endings that hurt.
04Grief & loss
Bereavement, and the quieter losses that are harder to name.
05Self-esteem
A critical inner voice, or never feeling quite enough.
06Life transitions
Change — chosen or not — and the questions it stirs up.
Why this approach
Slow work, deep roots
There are many kinds of therapy, and no single one is right for everyone. Here is what draws people to psychodynamic work.
We look beneath the surface
Rather than only managing symptoms, we get curious about where they come from — so change can happen at the roots, not just the branches.
We go at your pace
There's no worksheet to complete and no agenda imposed on you. The work unfolds at the speed that feels safe and useful for you.
The relationship matters
What happens between us in the room often tells us something important about what happens for you outside it. We can gently explore that together.
It's a space that's yours
Fifty minutes, same time each week, where nothing is too small, too strange or too much to bring.
Taking the first step is often the hardest part.
If something here has resonated, you're very welcome to get in touch. We can arrange a short introductory call — a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for how I work, before deciding anything.
